It was a huge day for high school football semi-final Saturday. Some big names were in the stands at the Gretna-Essex game Saturday. R & B stars, Chris Brown and Rihanna watched the action from the bleachers. Brown is a Tappahannock native, which is in Essex County. The two artists were seen embracing and cheering on Essex.

CHRIS BROWN WANTS TO COLLABORATE WITH MADONNA

Chris Brown wants Madonna on his next album. The 19-year-old crooner says the Material Girl would be his dream duet for a track on his upcoming CD “Graffiti,” which is due out next year. He says he’d also love to work with Coldplay. He’s collaborated with Jordin Sparks, David Banner and girlfriend Rihanna in the past. Brown predicts that “Graffiti” will be a bigger project for him. Speaking from the red carpet at the American Music Awards, the platinum-selling R&B star said: “It’s going to be my stepping stone from Chris Brown to superstar.” If he’s not there yet, he’s close. Brown took home trophies at the Sunday awards show for favorite pop-rock and soul-R&B male artist while his gal pal Rihanna won favorite pop-rock and soul-R&B female artist awards.
Congratulations to our boy Chris Brown for winning 3 American Music Awards tonight. He won in the categories Pop/Rock Music Favorite Male Artist, Soul/Rythm & Blues Favorite Male Artist & Artist of the year.

ARRIVING TO THE PHILLIPINES
MANILA, Philippines – Pop sensations Rihanna and Chris Brown arrived in Manila Saturday afternoon to prepare for a back-to-back concert at the Bonifacio Global City open field on Sunday.
Arriving on two separate flights, Rihanna and Brown were met by journalists gathered at the arrival area of the Ninoy Aquino International Airport and later by screaming fans.
Wearing black and carrying a black handbag and a video camera, Rihanna did not come with a large entourage. But screaming Filipino fans including airport personnel gave her a warm welcome.
Rihanna, 20, is one of the biggest pop stars in the music industry. Among her biggest hits are “Don’t Stop the Music,” “Take a bow” and “Umbrella.”
Meanwhile, Chris Brown who arrived with some friends flanking him is a year younger than Rihanna and has already won awards for his R&B songs, which includes “Kiss, Kiss” and “With You.”
The two pop stars had a seven-city concert tour in Australia and New Zealand. Based on the reception at the airport, both artists are already generating a lot of excitement among fans in the Philippines.
